 Horn Coral
Horn Coral, solitary rugose corals, grow in a long cone shape like a bull’s horn. Fossils of colonies of rugose corals are called Petoskey Stones. The cone shaped structures are built from calcium carbonate found in ocean water. The animal lived at the top of the cone. As the animal got bigger it added more material to the cone.
